History

YACA was founded in 2004 in Toronto as the Young Australian Canadian Association (YACA), with the support of the Australian Consul General. The organization evolved from its youthful roots to represent the full spectrum of its membership,. The acronym stuck - but you are welcome at YACA, no matter how old you are!

The Australian Canadian Association (YACA) is a not-for-profit based in Toronto, with 400+ Australian and Canadian members across Canada. We coordinate and endorse activities for the Aus-Can community throughout Canada. We connect the worldwide Australian Diaspora through ADVANCE.
